We have been talking about collecting some kinky furniture for home, but have had difficulties in procuring our collection:
- Price - There's some fine craftsmanship out there, but right now, we just don't have $500 or more to spend on an item
- Space - we live in a fairly small apartment and need something that will fit into our environment
- Discretion - with other, vanilla individuals, in our apartment we need something that can be broken down and put away discreetly
So with our new-found inspiration we headed off to the store(s) to buy some materials. It helps that one of us is crafty and the other one is good with power-tools (and has access to them).
Here are the materials with costs. These are Los Angeles prices (before taxes):

- 1-inch thick foam (Two): $10 - Downtown LA Garment District (The store we went to was out of 2-inch thick)
- 3-yards batting: $15 - Downtown LA Garment District
